WELCOME TO THE SWANSEA PSYCHOTHERAPY PARTNERSHIP

We are a growing group of psychotherapists and counsellors working together to provide safe, accredited psychotherapy and counselling in Swansea, Neath, Port Talbot and Llanelli.

Our therapists each offer a unique therapeutic relationship based on a contemporary, relational approach to psychotherapy and accredited by the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy.

By working together, we can help you to find the best support for you. Research suggests that the quality of relationship is a significant factor in positive outcomes in psychotherapy and we invite you to read the profiles of our psychotherapists to find the right fit for you.

Our members provide sessions online through zoom and other platforms during the COVID-19 crisis with the possibility of face to face sessions in some cases.

In addition to providing therapy, we work in collaboration to improve the provision of mental health support in the local area.

We do this by
raising the profile of psychotherapy, strengthening relationships across the health and care sectors, providing training and collaborating on research.

WHO DO WE WORK WITH?

We work with people in crisis, transition, and/or ready to look at long term patterns and issues that affect quality of life.

We work with individuals and couples.

We are experienced in working with symptoms relating to;

        Depression
        Anxiety
Verbal, physical and sexual abuse and neglect
        Relationship issues
Pregnancy and childbirth (for men and women)
        Bereavement and loss
        Personality disorders
        Post-traumatic stress
        Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
        Attention deficit disorders
        Obsessive compulsive patterns
        Autistic Spectrum Disorders

We invite direct approaches from individuals and referrals via health professionals and Employee Assistance programmes (EAP's).

WHY PSYCHOTHERAPY?

Talking to a trained counsellor or psychotherapist can alleviate the pressure of the difficult situations that we all face and help clients to work through challenging times, whilst at the same time giving you greater insight into yourself and relationships.

Psychotherapy works with  more fundamental patterns of relating to yourself and other people.
